The Pink-headed Duck that once occurred in Bangladesh is perhaps now globally extinct. The descriptions and other information on the 650 species of birds described in this volume were obtained from 234 publications and unpublished reports. An extensive Appendix given in the end provides information on abundance, status, distribution within Bangladesh and records of sighting individually on each of the 650 birds included in this volume.662 pp.
